No Salaries For Pilots The Last Three Months
Upset with the fate of the airline, Chowdhary added, SBI chairman Rajnish Kumar said that they will infuse RS 1500 crore. Where is the Money? You ask me to ride a plane through a thunderstorm, I can do it. But these people who had a job to do let their greed take over. Every day we are given new happen but nothing came into action.
Many other employees have been left rudderless by the airline shutting its operations.
Asim Valiani, a Senior Commander at Jet Airways, told ANI, “Pilots have not received their salaries for the last few or three months. Kind regard to other staff, one month’s salary is pending.
He told that employees were living under stress, and some of them had begun suffering from depression as they faced some responsibility such as their aged parents and their medical bills, child educational loans and some EMI for home loans.
“People have taken loans, housing loans and faced some serious problems. Their EMIs are ejecting because they don’t have the money to pay EMI. Some people have taken loans upto Rs 1 crore for their education purpose and now they don’t have money to pay their EMIs”, he said.
‘Jet Employees Suffering From Chest Pain’
Asim Valiani said that they had been receiving many phone calls per day, many of them complaining about employees suffering from chest pain and some employee has serious conditions. May employee suffers from Heart attacks, he added, likely due to stress.
“They are not able to assume how, after 25 years, they are not expected to carrier finished. There aren’t that many jobs in India and many people will have responsibility for their families and go to other cities for new jobs. All of this is stressful,” Valiani told ANI.
“After spending so much time at Jet Airways, a feeling of being a family had been created and love all employee to Jet Airways. Now that people are having to leave, the reality they have lost their jobs and that their airline is shutting down. Nobody had ever imagined this would happen in their life.”
